Educational Qualification: The applicant must have passed Madhyamik (10th) Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
Desirable Qualification: The candidate must have a certificate of computer literacy issued by the training centres under West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development or Youth Computer Training Centre. Certificate issued by the authorities other than those mentioned above will not be considered in determining the eligibility criteria.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL STANDARD: (i) For Male Warder:-
(a) For Candidates of all categories (except Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes): Height (in cms) – 167 & Chest (in cms) – 78 – 83.
(b) For Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: Height (in cms) – 160 & Chest (in cms) – 76 – 81.
(ii) For Female Warder:-
(a) For Candidates of all categories (except Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes): Height (in cms) – 160.
(b) For Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: Height (in cms) – 152.
Age Limit: 18 – 27 years as on 01/01/2019
Age Relaxation: For the SC/ST applicants of West Bengal only by 05 (five) years and OBC applicants of West Bengal only by 03 (three) years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5,400 – 25,200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2,600/-.
APPLICATION FEES & PROCESSING FEES: For General/OBC of West Bengal – Rs 220/-. For SC/ST – Rs 20/-.

HOW TO APPLY FOR WEST BENGAL POLICE POST: Applicants will be able to submit application under this mode using the website wbpolice.gov.in by filling up their information including scanned photograph and signature. Applicants are advised to follow the procedure properly for applying through online mode. Payment of Application and/or Processing Fees can be made online through payment gateway by using Debit Cards/Credit Cards/Net-Banking of any Bank. Fees can also be paid through different e-wallets and Bharat QR and UPI App. An amount of Rs. 5/- (Rupees five) only will be charged by the agency concerned as “Service Charge” for availing Debit Cards/Credit Cards/Net-Banking/e-wallet/other App facility.
